In the new Uncharted scene, Holland’s Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg’s Victor Sullivan, a.k.a. Sully, are seen on a cargo plane, going up against Tati Gabrielle’s Braddock. Fans of the game series will remember the scene from Uncharted 3, as the movie scene is almost an exact replica of the epic moment.

The scene begins with Drake pulling the cargo release on large containers, which then go flying over the ocean, taking some of the bad guys with them. Even though he tries very hard to dodge the crates, Drake’s foot eventually gets caught in the net on one of them and he joins the goons in mid-air. The Uncharted fight scene and action sequence that follows is one for the books, and could potentially be one of the highlights of the film.

Meanwhile, Sophia Ali’s Chloe Frazer is busy fighting the rest of the gang on the same plane, while dodging bullets. To escape the attack, she gets into a car parked on the cargo plane, turns on the ignition, and drives into the open air. Just when Holland’s Drake manages to get back on the plane, he gets hit by the car and goes tumbling down. The scene cuts off there, leaving viewers wondering what happens next. Spoiler alert, in Uncharted 3 the plane scene ends with Drake managing to survive with the help of a floating crate and its parachute.

The upcoming film is based on the extremely popular game series, and ever since the first official Uncharted trailer was released, the project has been receiving mixed reactions from fans. Many seem to be wondering if Holland was the right choice to play Drake, the young treasure hunter.

So far, Hollands most successful films have been the ones from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Spider-Man: No Way Home currently ruling box offices globally. Uncharted is his chance to prove to the audiences that he is capable of taking on other roles successfully, and it will further pave the way to his action hero status.

Uncharted is expected to be released in theatres on February 18, 2022.
